Laundry Bag = Timbuk2 Duffel Bag
Wednesday, September 27th, 2006
I recieved one of those marketing emails from Timbuk2. It was advertising their Duffel Bag as a laundry bag. Not a bad idea. They even listed the quantity of clothes you could carry. In the Large Duffel ($100) it is advertised that you can carry:
12 tees
4 pairs of jeans
2 hoodies
a roll of quarters
6-pack of pbr
Cheesy Poofs & Peanut Butter Cups
or 244 socks
I’m really curious as to the testing of these bags. Were the cheesy poofs crushed? Why not a King Size Snickers? Perhaps if Timbuk2 sent me a duffel, I could verify.
I guarantee I could fit more in the Small Duffel ($60) than they could, this is all they could manage:
3 tees
2pairs of jeans
1 hoodie
handfull of quarters
a book
or
77 socks
Probably the coolest feature is this:
An internal compression strap helps squeeze the contents to assist zipping the bag shut.
That’s perfect for squeezing extra laundry in there. They also have a Medium size for $80.
By the way you can spell duffel as duffle too.
